PROJECT

The battle ground to save the Mountain Gorilla made famous by Dian Fossey and the subsequent motion picture Gorillas in the Mist.

A 9 room Singita lodge will attract high-value tourism to the country and the region, helping to protect this fragile species. The 70Ha site is also being reforested as part of an initiative to expand the gorilla habitat into the buffer zone surrounding the national park.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

We have worked on this project since 2014 providing land planning for property acquisition diligence, managing the built environment sustainability program, master planning as well as the landscape design.

STATUS

The lodge is scheduled to open in September 2019
